Sustainable Waste Management…
Every aspect of the waste cycle results in long-term impact; sustainable waste management creates positive impact by enhancing and protecting our natural resources. Waste Resource Services, LLC was established to evaluate, promote, and develop tailored solutions for the solid waste management industry that embrace the waste-as-resource concept in a practical, and cost-effective manner. The field is awash with new and promising technologies; some proven and well-established; some well-founded but not yet widely implemented; and some innovative but not yet fully vetted and thus risky. In all cases success depends upon the reliability and financial strength of the company(ies) supporting the technology, and commitment by the entity served to garner the necessary but sometimes challenging cultural, financial, and political support.
Waste Resource Services, LLC offers:
Experience addressing issues of concern to the public, public education, and public speaking.
Familiarity with the management of a variety of wastes, including MSW, coal combustion residuals (coal ash products), foundry waste, industrial wastes, contaminated soils.
A robust network of consulting engineers, environmental scientists, peers from all sectors of the waste management field, as well as providers of technology, products and materials.
Experience history encompassing the mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and mid-west United States; international.
Expertise gained from working with over 200 local governments and multi-jurisdictional regions; solid waste management companies; utility-scale power generation companies; manufacturing companies; landfill gas beneficial use and renewable energy companies.

What Waste Resource Services LLC can do for you:
Resource Augmentation
Landfill Mining
Mining to recover materials for recycling, waste-to-energy feedstock, composting, or daily cover, while eliminating the source of environmental degradation.
Mechanically Stabilized Earth (MSE)
Retaining walls including the Advanced Wall Technologies (AWT) proprietary design that can utilize coal combustion residuals, treated soils, and other revenue-generating materials within a unique containment system designed to significantly increase disposal facility capacity, especially in confined environments.
Leachate Management
Management of facility generated wastewater using a patented aerosolization process; a mobile process that minimizes the volume, treatment costs and off-site trucking of wastewater. The process can be used for multiple wastewaters as well as other on-site operational activities such as irrigation, stormwater control, and alternative daily cover (ADC). Dewatering of coal combustion residual impoundments is a key wastewater application.
Groundwater Impact Assessment and Landfill Gas Recovery Optimization
A cost-effective, patented system to assess the migration of organic chemicals emanating from waste disposal facilities, or to identify the optimal landfill gas production areas and implement the most effective gas extraction system for beneficial use.
Coal Ash Impoundment Reclamation
The aerosolization and AWT processes can be used individually, or together, to successfully de-water and reclaim coal ash impoundments.
Emerging Economies
Services and solutions for emerging and growing economies where waste management challenges are unique, and political motivation exists to improve waste programs.
Waste-to-Energy
Island-based Economies
Services and solutions for island-based economies where challenges unique to them must be addressed. Funding, financing, and private investment / partnerships may be critical components of the solution.
